IPTV Setup: How to Install TiviBridge on Your TV, Stick or Phone

IPTV setup takes three steps: install a player app, enter your TiviBridge login, and wait a minute while the channel list loads. The same login works on every device, so you can start on your TV today and add a phone or laptop later. If you have no login yet, request the free 24-hour trial first.

How to install IPTV on a TV in three steps

Every guide on this page follows the same basic pattern. Only the menus change from one device to the next.

1. Install a player app. TiviBridge is a service, not an app, so you need a player such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiViMate. Download it from your TV's app store, Google Play or the Amazon Appstore.
2. Enter your login. Choose the Xtream Codes option and type the server address, username and password from your WhatsApp message. Some devices use an M3U playlist link instead.
3. Let the list load. The first load of channels and the programme guide takes a minute or two. After that, the app opens straight to live TV.

Common devices in the five markets

Samsung and LG smart TVs are the most common screens in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium. Both have their own app stores with IPTV players. Android TV sets from Philips, Sony and TCL use Google Play, which offers the widest choice. The Samsung guide and the LG guide cover the two biggest brands.

The Fire TV Stick is the easiest upgrade for an older TV and is widely sold across all five countries. Roku is available in Germany but rare elsewhere in the region, so most readers can skip that guide. Apple TV, Windows PCs and MAG or Formuler boxes each have their own page as well.

Setting up more than one screen

If your plan includes two, three or five screens, you use the same login on each device. There is nothing extra to activate. Install the app on the second TV, phone or laptop and sign in exactly as you did on the first.

The screen count limits how many streams play at the same moment, not how many devices you install the app on. A family can keep the app on six devices and watch on two at once with a two-screen plan. If a third stream starts, it will be refused until one of the others stops. Setting up IPTV for someone else

Many of our customers set up TiviBridge for a parent or grandparent, often in another country. The easiest way is to install the app on a Fire TV Stick at your home, sign in, create a favourites group with their channels, and then post the stick to them. They only need to plug it in and connect it to Wi-Fi.

If the TV is already in their home, WhatsApp video calls work well. They point the phone at the TV screen while you, or our support team, talk them through each step.

Operator boxes cannot run IPTV apps

Many homes watch TV through a box supplied by their internet provider. MagentaTV in Germany, Ziggo and KPN in the Netherlands, Telenet and Proximus in Belgium, and Polsat Box or Canal+ boxes in Poland are common examples. These boxes are locked to their operator's own service. You cannot install IPTV Smarters, TiViMate or any other third-party app on them.

That does not mean you need a new TV. Switch the TV input to its own smart platform, or plug a streaming stick into a free HDMI port. You can keep the operator box connected for its own channels if you still pay for them.

Which app should I choose?

What you need before you start

• A device that can run an IPTV app: a smart TV, streaming stick, Android box, phone, tablet or computer.
• A stable internet connection. HD runs well on around 10 Mbit/s; 4K needs about 25 Mbit/s. See the 4K IPTV page for details.
• Your TiviBridge login, sent on WhatsApp after you order or start a trial.
• About ten minutes and your TV remote.

Common setup mistakes and quick fixes

Most failed logins come from small typing errors. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive, and the server address must include "http://" and the port number exactly as sent. Copying the details from WhatsApp on a phone and typing them slowly on the TV avoids most problems.

If the list loads but channels do not play, try a different player setting, such as switching between hardware and software decoding.
