Xtream Codes Login Explained: How to Connect TiviBridge

Step-by-step setup

1. Find the three details in your message

   Open the activation message TiviBridge sent you on WhatsApp. It lists a server URL, a username and a password, usually on separate lines. Copy them into a note on your phone, so you can read them while typing on the TV. Do not share the message, as anyone with these three details could use your connections.

2. Check the server URL format

   A correct server URL has three parts: http:// at the start, a host name, and a port number after a colon, such as http://server.example:8080. There is no path after the port. If your app has separate fields for host and port, split the address at the colon and type each part into its own box.

3. Choose the Xtream Codes option in your app

   Every player names it slightly differently. In IPTV Smarters Pro it is Login with Xtream Codes API. In TiViMate, choose Add playlist > Xtream Codes. In MyTVOnline 3 on a Formuler, add a portal and choose the Xtream Codes type. Other players such as OTT Navigator and IMPlayer list it under a new provider or playlist.

4. Type the username and password exactly

   Enter the username and password letter for letter. Both are case-sensitive, and phone keyboards often capitalise the first letter automatically, so switch that off or check before saving. Avoid copying extra spaces from the WhatsApp message. If your app shows the password field in dots, tap the eye icon to reveal and check it.

5. Name the profile and save

   Most apps ask for a playlist or profile name. Use something clear like TiviBridge Living Room, especially if several people in the house have their own profile. Press Save, Add User or Next. The app contacts the server, checks the login and starts downloading the channel list, films, series and guide.

6. Confirm the account details

   Once logged in, open the account or playlist information screen. In IPTV Smarters Pro it is Account Info on the dashboard; in TiViMate it is under Settings > Playlists. You should see an active status, the expiry date and the maximum number of connections. These should match the plan you bought.

7. Refresh when the line-up changes

   Channel lists change from time to time, especially around new football seasons. Most apps refresh automatically on start, but you can force it. In Smarters use the refresh icon on the Live TV screen; in TiViMate choose Settings > Playlists > TiviBridge > Update playlist. The EPG refreshes with it.

What is the Xtream Codes API?

The name comes from Xtream Codes, a company whose server software was widely used in the IPTV world until it was shut down in 2019. Its interface had already become a de facto standard by then. App makers kept supporting it, and server systems kept speaking it, so the name lives on as a login type rather than a product.

For you, the practical meaning is simple. If an app offers an Xtream Codes option, your TiviBridge login works in it. That includes TiViMate, IPTV Smarters Pro and MyTVOnline 3 on Formuler boxes.

Server URL, username and password vs an M3U link

An Xtream Codes login and an M3U link reach the same channels on the same server. The difference is how the app receives them. Xtream Codes lets the app ask for exactly what it needs, while an M3U link hands over everything at once as a single text file.

Port numbers and what they mean

The port is the number after the colon in the server URL. It tells your device which door on the server to knock on. Always use the port given in your TiviBridge message, because the wrong one simply times out.

• 80 and 8080: standard web ports. They pass through almost every home router and are rarely blocked.
• 8000 and 25461: ports often used by IPTV servers. Some office and public Wi-Fi networks block them.
• 443: the HTTPS port, used when the address starts with https://.

Home broadband from providers such as Telekom, Vodafone, A1, Orange Polska, KPN, Ziggo, Proximus or Telenet normally leaves these ports open. Common errors and fixes

Invalid username or password

A typo is the likeliest cause, often an automatic capital letter or a trailing space. Retype both fields by hand. If the login worked before and stopped, check whether your plan has expired, because an expired account returns the same error in most apps.

Connection timed out or server unreachable

The app cannot reach the server on that port. Check that the URL includes http:// and the correct port. Try another network, such as mobile data, to see if your Wi-Fi blocks the port. Some company, school and hotel networks block anything other than ports 80 and 443.

Maximum connections reached

Your plan allows a set number of simultaneous streams, and all are in use. Close the app properly on devices you are not using, since some keep a stream open in the background. If you often watch on more screens, upgrading to a 2-, 3- or 5-screen plan solves it.

The app reports an SSL or HTTPS error

You probably typed https:// where the server expects http://, or the reverse. Use the scheme exactly as it appears in your activation message. Do not add or remove the s yourself, since the port and scheme belong together.

Films and series are missing but live TV works

Some apps load films and series only when you open those sections for the first time. Open Movies or Series and wait for the download. If the sections stay empty, remove the profile and add it again, which forces a complete reload of every category.
