Step-by-step setup
Update tvOS or iOS
On Apple TV open Settings, System, Software Updates and choose Update Software. On iPhone or iPad open Settings, General, Software Update. Current IPTV players are built for recent Apple software and some will not appear in the App Store at all on devices several versions behind.
Open the App Store and choose a player
On Apple TV open the blue App Store icon and select Search. Type the name of a player: IPTV Smarters Player Lite, UHF, GSE Smart IPTV or iPlayTV are all widely available in EU App Stores. Check that the listing shows Apple TV support. Select Get, or the price for paid apps, and confirm.
Use your iPhone as the keyboard
Typing a long server address with the Siri Remote is slow. When a text field opens on the Apple TV, your iPhone shows a keyboard notification; tap it and type there. You can also open Control Centre on the iPhone, add the Apple TV Remote and use its keyboard button. It saves many typing errors.
Add your TiviBridge login
In Smarters Player Lite choose Login with Xtream Codes API. In UHF choose Add source, then Xtream. In GSE Smart IPTV open Xtream Codes API and tap the plus icon. Enter the server address, username and password from your activation message. For iPlayTV, add the M3U link we send as a remote playlist.
Wait for channels and guide to load
The first sync fetches 25,000+ channels and the programme guide. On an Apple TV 4K this usually takes under a minute; older Apple TV HD units are slower. Stay on the loading screen until the channel groups appear, then open the group for your country.
Turn on Match Content for smooth sport
On Apple TV open Settings, Video and Audio, Match Content, and switch on Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate. European TV broadcasts at 50 frames per second, and matching the frame rate removes the slight stutter you otherwise see on football, handball and ski jumping.
Set up the same player on iPhone or iPad
Install the same app from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and sign in with the same details. On a one-screen plan only one device plays at a time, so pause the Apple TV first. On two screens or more, the family can watch on both at once.
Send a channel from iPhone to the TV
If the television has no Apple TV but supports AirPlay, as many Samsung, LG and Philips sets from 2019 onwards do, open Control Centre on the iPhone and choose Screen Mirroring, or tap the AirPlay icon inside the player. Keep the phone on charge during long matches.
Best IPTV app for Apple TV and iPhone in 2026

Which Apple TV to buy for IPTV
Buy the Apple TV 4K with Wi-Fi and Ethernet if you plan to watch live football. It has a network port, more storage and a Thread radio, and costs only a little more than the Wi-Fi model. Both versions play 4K HDR, but the cable connection makes the bigger difference during busy evening matches.
Apple sells both models through its own online store in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium, and through the usual electronics chains. Apple's setup instructions are in the Apple TV support pages. If you want the lowest cost instead, a Fire TV Stick does the same job for less than half the price.
Apple TV compared with ISP boxes
An Apple TV can replace the box from your TV operator for IPTV, but operator boxes themselves cannot run IPTV apps. MagentaTV, Ziggo, Telenet, Proximus Pickx and Polsat Box receivers only run the operator's own software. If you keep the operator for internet, plug the Apple TV into another HDMI port and switch inputs.
- The Apple TV remote can control the TV volume and power through HDMI-CEC, so one remote is usually enough.

Using a VPN on Apple TV and iPhone
Recent tvOS versions allow VPN apps on Apple TV, and iPhone has supported them for years. You only need one if your internet provider slows streaming at peak times. Choose a server in or near your own country. A VPN does not change what is legal to watch; it only changes the route of the data.

Common errors and fixes
The app says it cannot connect to the server
Check that the server address starts with http:// and includes the port from your message. Some Apple players reject addresses with a trailing slash, so remove it. Also confirm that no content filter or iCloud Private Relay setting is blocking the connection on iPhone.
Channels start but freeze after a few seconds
Turn off Low Data Mode on iPhone under Settings, Wi-Fi, then the network. On Apple TV, connect by Ethernet if your model has a port. Choose FHD instead of 4K versions of a channel on busy evenings, and restart the Apple TV from Settings, System, Restart.
The guide shows no programmes
Players often download the guide after the channel list. Wait a few minutes, then use the refresh or update EPG option in the player settings. In UHF and GSE Smart IPTV the guide may need to be enabled for the source before it appears.
The app disappeared from the App Store
IPTV players come and go in the App Store. If you already installed one, it keeps working. For a new device, choose another player from this guide; all of them accept the same TiviBridge details, so switching takes a few minutes.
Siri Remote keeps jumping past channels
The touch surface on the older Siri Remote is very sensitive. Open Settings, Remotes and Devices, Touch Surface Tracking and choose Slow. Newer remotes with a clickpad ring are easier to use. You can also control the player with the Apple TV Remote in Control Centre on your iPhone.

Is there an IPTV app for Apple TV in the EU App Store?
Yes. UHF, IPTV Smarters Player Lite, GSE Smart IPTV and iPlayTV are available in App Stores across the EU, including Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. Listings can change, so check the store on your device. All of them accept a TiviBridge Xtream login or M3U link.
Which IPTV app is best on iPhone?

Can I watch TiviBridge on iPhone and Apple TV at the same time?
Only with a plan for two screens or more. A one-screen plan lets you sign in on both devices but play on one at a time. A two-screen plan costs €20 for one month or €99 for a year, and a five-screen plan suits larger families.
Do I need to jailbreak my iPhone for IPTV?
No. Every player in this guide comes from the official App Store, so there is no jailbreak, configuration profile or sideloading involved. Avoid any website that asks you to install a profile to get a player, because that is not how legitimate IPTV apps are distributed.
Does IPTV work on an old Apple TV HD?
Usually yes, as long as it runs a recent tvOS version and the player still supports it. The Apple TV HD is limited to 1080p and is slower when loading a large channel list, so hide the country groups you do not watch. For 4K channels and faster menus, the Apple TV 4K is the better choice.
Can I AirPlay IPTV from iPhone to a Samsung or LG TV?
Yes, if the TV supports AirPlay 2, which many Samsung, LG, Philips and Sony models from 2019 onwards do. Start the channel in the player, tap the AirPlay icon and choose your TV. Some players only mirror the whole screen, so keep the phone unlocked and charging.
